Every great once in a while I get hungry. Not the kind of peckish, pick at your food kind of hunger that I usually experience, but truly hungry. On these rare occasions, I actually eat to capacity. Today was one such occasion. I sat at the sushi bar in Domo, and (all by myself) ate:
1 black pearl roll (holy shit it gets better the more I eat it);
1 hurricane roll (mm, riceless rolls are the best);
2 orders of hamachi (yellowtail) sashimi. (that's four pieces);
and one piece of a specialty roll called "Snow White" that the sushi chefs made for me and a couple that was also sitting at the sushi bar.
Holy ass balls, it was so good. I ate so much I thought I might be sick but I was too busy being happy and full of tasty fishy goodness.
Also, Domo is run by Mandarin Chinese people, as are many of the good sushi restaurants in the US. Except Yummy Yummy in Sarasota, which I think is a mixed bag of Thai and Vietnamese or something. It was fun listening to them talk, even though I didn't understand. I am proud that I was able to tell it was Mandarin and not Cantonese (or something other than Chinese, I guess).
So there. I ate a lot, and it was super awesome. Also one of the sushi chefs was really good looking.
The End.
P.S. I don't think I have ever set my "mood" to full before. I completely forgot that mood icon even existed. Kawaii~!!
