In Which We Enjoy A Slice of Childhood

I've been meaning to update since yesterday, but between one thing and another--specifically, feeling so crappy--I haven't. Suki and I watched the Faerie Tale Theatre Snow White yesterday. On the one hand, it was cheesier than I remember. On the other...I love it just as much as I ever did. The first notes of the opening music reached deep into my heart, through time, and resonated with my memories. I love this movie. I love the dwarfs and the huntsman. Vincent Price as the Magic Mirror with attitude is superb, and Vanessa Redgrave owns everyone in the movie as the Evil Queen. Her every moment expresses her vanity and opulence. And I like that the prince and the dwarfs know each other.
We also watched Beauty and the Beast, which clearly stole scenes directly from Cocteau's version, but that actually made it more interesting. I really enjoyed myself. I can't wait to have the whole collection.
...the Snow Queen. OMG.
